    As A First Name Basis expanded into new markets, they needed a unified, scalable brand. The goal: stand out in a crowded category while aligning internal teams and attracting both caregivers and clients with a brand that felt human, clear, and cohesive.

    Our Approach
    Our engagement began with an in-depth brand visual discovery phase to anchor the brand in visual insight and service differentiation. Through category and competitor research, we identified a key opportunity: most caregiving brands focus on the client—but few highlight the caregiver. That insight became our core thesis: Care Starts with the Caregiver. This idea would guide all verbal and visual brand development.

    Our Solution
    We developed a caregiver-first verbal identity brand voice that positioned A First Name Basis as warm, confident, and distinctly human. The brand voice is empathetic, empowering, respectful, and honest—mirroring the caregivers themselves. A comprehensive brand voice guide equipped the team with messaging tools to ensure consistency across marketing, recruiting, and day-to-day operations.

    The name already conveyed personal connection, so we expanded on that with a brand identity built on trust, dignity, and emotional warmth. The logo—featuring a dandelion—symbolizes hope, strength, and transformation, capturing the shift to assisted living with grace. A modern, friendly typeface and optimistic color palette bring visual clarity and emotional resonance. Authentic photography and custom human-made illustration highlights genuine interactions, moving away from sterile stock imagery.

    We extended the brand into every touchpoint, designing:

    • A modern, accessible website that builds trust with families and empowers caregivers

    • Friendly, functional uniforms

    • Clean, professional vehicle wraps

    • Caregiver-facing material assets to be used in onboarding packets and brand awareness touchpoints

    • Recruiting and community collateral that reinforces the brand promise

    Every design element supports the message that caregivers are central to the experience.

  • The brand relaunch led to immediate and measurable growth:

    • Website traffic increased 15%-20% in the first 6 months
